Goldfinger

I was a little surprised, in an otherwise slavering work of blind hero worship, to see that Rohmer called one of the chapters of Golden Phoenix “Canada’s Goldfinger.”  I wonder if Rohmer has ever seen Goldfinger, or if he understands that being Goldfinger is a bad thing. 

If Auric Goldfinger – megalomaniac, thief, murderer, terrorist, pervert, cheat – had been born in Guelph, would Rohmer have written a book for him?  He is rich.
