Thirty years ago – nothing in Rohmer time, but the distance between the death of George Bernard Shaw and the birth of Kim Kardashian, between Nurmberg and Woodstock – I was goofing off through the Labor Day three-day-novel writing contest with Brian Busby.  Stanley Whyte was in and out.

A lifetime.

And here I am, goofing off again.
